Job Position: Chief Operations Manager

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Master’s Degree or MBA highly advantageous
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in operations management
  • Proven track record in a senior leadership role, preferably within a medical or related industry
  • Ability to analyze complex operational issues and develop effective solutions
  • Analytical thinking
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Ability to drive innovation and change within the organization
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent strategic planning and project management abilities
  • Proficient in financial management and budgeting

Key Performance Areas:

  • Operational strategy and planning:
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s objectives
  • Design and oversee the execution of business plans to meet company goals
  • Process management:
  • Ensure all operational processes are streamlined and efficient
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Warehouse management:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse
  • Ensure the correct use and management of the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Report on operational aspects of the warehouse to senior management
  • Ensure the team processes store orders timeously
  • Ensure the team correctly receives and stores stock from all suppliers
  • Team leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team
  • Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous learning
  • Financial management:
  • Manage the operations budget, ensuring cost-effective operations
  • Monitor financial performance and implement corrective measures as needed
  • Assist the finance team with stock takes to ensure accurate stock reporting
  • Compliance and risk management:
  • Ensure all operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Develop risk management strategies to minimize operational risks
  • Performance monitoring:
  • Set performance targets and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Report on operational performance to senior management and stakeholders
  • Customer and supplier management:
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and address operational issues promptly
