Qualifications / Requirements:

• Minimum of B Degree – Mechanical Engineering from an accredited tertiary institution

• ERP experience in a manufacturing environment

• High level of proficiency in MS Office

• Strong team player

• Good communications, influencing and collaborative demeanor

• Professional appearance and provide a positive company image to various stakeholders

• Ability to work under pressure

• Display initiative and a positive attitude

• Experience in:

– Implementing fixed asset maintenance software (FAMS)

– Implementing production processes on ERP software

– Develop/implement control strategies

– Project management

– Process engineering

– Control systems

– Human-machine interfaces

– Proven experience as a Process Engineer or in a similar role

– Extensive and solid experience in a manufacturing environment

– Extensive maintenance experience in mechanical and electrical systems (electronics and instrumentation)

– Developing maintenance schedules and monitor machine availability and performance

– Production planning/monitoring on an ERP system experience

– Exposure to ISO9001

• Knowledge and skills:

– Production and manufacturing processes

– Process modelling, programmable logic controllers (PLC’s)

– Excellent time management skills

– Good communication and organisational skills

– Outstanding influencing and interpersonal abilities

– Excellent organisational and leadership skills and qualities

– Attention to detail, reliable and punctual

– Able to perform administrative functions effectively

Key Performance Areas:

• Responsible for creating, implementing, testing, updating and maintaining production equipment processes and the systems used to monitor, control and regulate operations and processes

• Optimise procedures to increase efficiency and profitability

• Automate processes in the plant and retrofit existing equipment to new functions

• Integrate process controls for maintenance and planning on all production equipment

• Integrate internet of things with the ERP system to automate maintenance schedules and manage process parameters

• Create production plans for the team based on historical and market data

• Integrate production plan and maintenance schedule in the ERP system
