Job Position: Operations Productivity Manager

Qualifications / Requirements:
- Relevant operations management experience in the logistics/transportation industry
- Stable job record with good, contactable references
- Own reliable transport and valid drivers license
- Strong, assertive, resilient disposition and exceptional communication skills essential
Key Performance Areas:
- Release vehicles to be ready to accept loads as soon as possible
- Driving of productivity
- Customer resolution
- Staff management and discipline
- Advise marketing in where vehicles are/will be available by which time each day
- Collect loads from customer and ensure all paperwork and specific instructions are with the relevant Driver
- Ensure Fleet Controller has photographs of each load
- Prepare route schedule with the relevant Fleet Controller
- Follow up with Controllers as to Driver and vehicle progress
- Problem solve where vehicles fall outside of schedule and make alternative arrangements to achieve acceptable turnaround times
- Chase up vehicles with urgent loads – arrange double Drivers with HR
- Review daily, vehicle trips in line with schedules
- Review daily, Driver behaviour and driving scoring
- Manage offload of vehicles to achieve the best turnaround times
- Ensure the Controller has instructed the Driver to collect all paperwork and that no endorsements have been made
- Should there be endorsements, sort out with customer before vehicle leaves their premises
- Manage servicing and licensing requirements in terms of ensuring trucks/vehciles make it to depot to conform, on time
- Manage Controllers and Drivers time efficiently
- Problem solve, investigate and handle all discrepancies with staff and customers
