Job Position: Sales Representative – Material Handling industry

Salary: R35 000 per month CTC commensurate with qualification and experience inclusive of car allowance, 50% medical contribution, Provident Fund + commission

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Matric plus qualification supported by 5 years of sales experience
  • Must have experience in the material handling equipment environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent at quoting/costing
  • High sense of integrity and hunter/sales personality
  • Working knowledge of forklifts and selling pre-owned forklifts within an assigned sales territory
  • Proven record of achievement in prior sales positions
  • Strong closing skills
  • Prior attendance at formal sales training courses a plus
  • Proven oral, written, telephone and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn and retain product specific information and utilise it to present the features and benefits to customers
  • Knowledge of the materials handling and cleaning industry advantageous
  • Computer literate with knowledge of all Microsoft Office Programmes
  • Knowledge of Autoline/CRM system is an added advantage
  • Readiness for extensive travel in the region

Key Performance Areas:

  • Provide quality leadership for the internal and external customers in all assigned tasks, while upholding the company’s values always: inclusive of constructive problem solving, facilitating creative improvements, and inspiring others
  • Achieve the region’s revenue and profitability quotas for the companies’ products as they are sold into all customer segments within the Region
  • Establish an environment and foundation for future sales growth
  • Sell value and solutions to the customers
  • Direct the selling activities within the Region, inclusive of resource deployment and customer interactions
  • Prioritise effectively and in accordance with corporate objectives
  • Set the vision for the Region and develop and adhere to a business plan to attain this vision
  • Evaluate market trends and gathering competitive information, identifying trends that affect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Call reports and CRM loading
