We are seeking the services of skilled and reliable Mechanic to carry out servicing, maintenance, inspection and repair of vehicle’s, trucks and trailers. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all mechanical, electrical and safety related systems are maintained to a high standard, faults rectified and identified, and all work is safely in accordance with company, legal and compliance requirements

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Experience in trucks/trailers, semi/drawbar trailers.
• Proven experience as a Mechanic (Red Seal)
• Valid Code 8 license (Code 14 advantageous)
• Strong fault finding and problem-solving skills
• Awareness of minimizing downtime and cost-effective repairs

Key Performance Areas:

• Inspect trucks and trailers for safety, wear and compliance
• Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance
• Repair and replace brakes, axles, bearings suspension systems and couplings
• Diagnose and repair faults i.e. trailer lights, wiring and brake system

Maintain accurate service and repair records

• Ensure all work meets safety standards and legal requirements
• Attend to breakdowns on the road and follow up on repairs
