Job Position: Artisan Assistant – Electrical and Mechanical

Qualifications / Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year working experience in a factory environment
• Possession of Code 08 Drivers license highly advantageous
• Previous experience in electrical and Mechanical
• Fit to work physically and at heights
• Ability to use equipment and tools
• Student who has completed National Technical Certificate 3 Mechanical
• Training completed highly advantageous:
– First Aid Level 1 or 2
– Fire Fighting Basic
– Health and Safety Representative
– Basic computer literacy skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic
• Ability to follow rules, regulations, procedures and instructions
• Punctuality and reliability
• Honest and trustworthy
• Mature attitude and stable with ability to learn new skills
Key Performance Areas:
• Perform delegated tasks effectively to assist in achieving company goals
• Assist Artisans with maintenance on machinery and buildings
• Assist Foreman and Artisan in stripping, repairing and assembling various types of machines
• Ensure all tools and equipment are accounted for and cleaned / maintained properly
• Perform tasks in accordance with safety, health, environmental and quality work procedures and requirements
• Perform delegated general checks and housekeeping duties including workshop, machinery and equipment
• Assist in keeping the general workplace in good and clean condition
