Qualifications / Requirements:
- Minimum National Diploma in one of the following engineering sciences (ND Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Metallurgy)
- 3 to 5 years’ experience within the manufacturing industry
Essential:
- Have good report writing and presentation skills
- Have proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sound knowledge of vehicle manufacturing processes
- Sound problem-solving skills and Quality Tools e.g., Fishbone, FMEA, SPC and DOE
- Experience in interpreting measuring reports and technical drawings
- Proficiency in database software packages (MS SQL, Oracle etc)
- Be assertive and have the ability to motivate
- Be a team player and be able to work under pressure
- In-depth knowledge of bolting equipment and applications inclusive of monitoring systems and controls

- Analytically minded with the ability and inclination to work accurately with databases
- System based data extraction, interpretation and analysis

- Experience in engineering packages (CATIA, CAD)
- BSc Degree / B-Tech Mechanical / Metallurgy or Mechatronics Engineering
Key Performance Areas:
- Plan, define, co-ordinate and be accountable for quality audits and inspections in Press, Body, Paint and Assembly shops
- Maintain and improve product surface quality and mechanical joints by monitoring and reporting on non–conformances and processes
- Establish root causes and implement corrective actions for allocated quality problems
- Interface with various departments within the company
- Present findings/reports at various forums and management structures
- Liaise with overseas counterparts with regard to build/quality matters
- Co-ordinate and be accountable for quality issues
- Lead cross functional teams when required
- Monitor and reporting of non-conformances and processes to drive early detection and initiate corrective actions
