Qualifications / Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Sales & Marketing / Business
  • Ideal candidate will have been a General Manager with a strong Sales Management focus / run their own successful business, within a FMCG environment
  • Proven performance in negotiating and closing deals (handling from cradle to grave) and leading a team to success
  • Confident extrovert with exceptional networking and relationship-building skills, with a “fixer” mentality
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Highly competitive, dynamic, resilient and articulate, with strong negotiating ability

Key Performance Areas

  • Lead, mentor and drive the sales team to achieve volumes, targets, margins and all key sales deliverables
  • Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities (mergers and acquisitions)
  • Manage and engage key customer accounts
  • Provide input on product branding, sizing, revamping and market alignment
  • Represent the business at expos, conferences and industry events
  • Present comprehensive sales reports and insights at Director-level meetings
  • Support supplier and customer relationship management
  • Manage Sales financials (stats, GP, budgets, forecasts)
