An exceptional, fast-paced industrial operation in Gqeberha is urgently seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Qualified Boilermaker to join their team. Location: Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth)
Ref: 5264
Salary: Commensurate with qualification and experience

Key Requirements:
• Grade 12 (Matric) + Recognised Boilermaker Trade Test (Red Seal)
• Valid driver’s licence (Minimum Code B)
• 3 to 5 years of post-trade experience across steel manufacturing, engineering, plant maintenance, and workshop fabrication. Experience on mobile equipment is essential
• Proven competency in reading engineering drawings, plate development, structural fabrication, welding (MIG/Stick/Gouging), oxy-fuel/plasma cutting, and rigging fundamentals
• Advantageous (Bonus Points): Welding, Working at Heights, or Confined Space certifications; Forklift licence; Code EC driver’s licence.

Key Performance Areas:

• Plant equipment maintenance: maintain and repair fixed plant equipment including conveyors, chutes, hoppers, bins, silos, crushers, and structural steelwork
• Movable equipment maintenance: repair and maintain mobile/transport equipment (truck bodies, trailers, tippers, earthmoving/excavator buckets)
• Fabrication and welding: manufacture components straight from engineering drawings (brackets, frames, guards, platforms) and perform high-quality welding to company standards
• Breakdown and preventative maintenance: conduct routine inspections to catch defects early, diagnose faults rapidly during breakdowns, and execute emergency repairs safely under pressure
• Safety and HSEO: strictly adhere to the OHS Act, carry out risk assessments, and manage hot work, confined space, and height permits flawlessly

Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be physically fit and able to lift heavy components safely, work at heights and in confined spaces, stand for extended periods, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and work overtime/standby when required.
